Getting started

From download to a finished site in five steps. Most people are done in under an hour.

  1. 01 Step 1

    Download your files

    After checkout, download the theme from your account. Keep the ZIP files as they are; don’t unzip them.

  2. 02 Step 2

    Install the theme

    In WordPress go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload, choose salemnus.zip and click Activate.

  3. 03 Step 3

    Install the plugins

    Follow the notice to install Salemnus Core and the free Elementor plugin. Add WooCommerce if you’ll sell online.

  4. 04 Step 4

    Import a demo

    Go to Salemnus → Demos, pick one and click Import. Pages, menus, header, footer and sample content are set up for you.

  5. 05 Step 5

    Make it yours

    Change colors and fonts in Elementor → Site Settings, then edit each page’s words and photos in Elementor.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I get updates?

When a new version is out, download it from your account and upload it in Appearance → Themes. Your content and settings stay as they are. If you use a child theme, your own code changes are kept too.

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. Everything works with the free version of Elementor. Salemnus Core adds the header and footer builder and all the custom widgets.

Will importing a demo delete my content?

No. The importer only adds and updates items it created itself. Your own pages, posts and products are never touched.

Can I use the demo photos?

The demo photos come from Unsplash and are free to use under the Unsplash License. Most people replace them with their own photos before launch.

Can I use one license on a client’s site?

Yes. A Single site license covers one website, yours or one client’s. For several client sites, choose Unlimited sites.

How do I move my site to a new host?

Use a migration plugin such as All-in-One WP Migration or Duplicator. The theme and your content move together; no extra steps are needed.

What does support include?

Help with installing and using the theme, and fixes for anything that doesn’t work as described. Custom design or code changes aren’t included, but you can book them as a project.
